A nail gun, nailgun or nailer is a type of tool used to drive nails into wood or some other kind of material. It is usually driven by electromagnetism, compressed air (pneumatic), highly flammable gases such as butane or propane, or, for powder-actuated tools, a small explosive charge or cordless operated battery powered. Nail guns have in many ways replaced hammers as tools of choice among builders. The Paslode IM90i impulse naler has been tested to guarantee performance in temperatures ranging from -15C to +49C. 105 joules of driving energy combined with a 4000–nail battery capacity and an extended two–strip nail magazine holding 74 nails equals one highly efficient nailer.
