The association was organized approximately 30 years ago as the Mid South Chapter of the Tennessee Biomedical Instrumentation Association. In 1984 the name was changed to the Tennessee Biomedical Instrumentation Association. At the beginning of 2008, it evolved into MSBA, an organization promoting the education and training of Biomedical Equipment Technicians and Clinical Engineers.
MidSouth Biomedical Association is an organization for Biomedical Equipment Technicians, Engineers, Students, Manufacturers/Vendors, and anyone else interested in Medical Equipment Technology. Anyone with an interest in Medical Technology from West Tennessee, North Mississippi or East Arkansas is welcomed to join. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every other month and are either presented with technical information from those in the industry or discuss those issues effecting the industry.
