Metrics dashboard

A metrics dashboard

About[]

Metrics are a standard of measurement. A Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)s are the building blocks of many metric dashboard visualizations; as they are the most effective means of alerting users as to where they are in relationship to their objectives. A metric is referred to a direct numerical measure that represents a piece of hard data in the relationship of one or more dimensions (e.g. Scheduled Work Order percentages, equipment downtime, etc.) A KPI is simply a metric that is tied to a target (e.g. greater than 95% each month for Scheduled Work Order percentages, less than 5% for equipment downtime, etc). Most often a KPI represents how far a metric is above or below a pre-determined target. These metrics should be set by the clinical engineering manager and documented in a policy letter or perhaps a medical equipment management plan.
