"GMI was founded in 2002 by Scott Ray and Ryan Dienst. Both Ray and Dienst saw a gap in the ultrasound market. They wanted to offer a "brand indifferent" solution and focus on being an advocate for the ultrasound consumer.
Now, almost six years later, GMI has exploded into a multi-faceted operation offering the consumer a solution for any ultrasound need. GMI's growth and success can be credited back to staying true to the original focus on meeting the customer's needs and providing exceptional quality at an excellent value.
GMI has recently achieved national business rankings for their growth and success. Entrepreneur Magazine recognized GMI as #148 on their list of Hot 500 fastest growing companies in America and Inc. Magazine ranked GMI in its top 5000 list of growing companies. In addition, GMI has been recognized as a finalist for two consecutive years by Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year."[1]
